Feast on Kings Shirt

Feast on Kings Shirt

The Feast on Kings Shirt is from the fourth book in the amazing Fire and Ice franchise by George R R Martin. The book’s title is appropriately named A Feast for Crows.

Because of the massive size of A Feast for Crows Martin opted to cut the book in half while it was still in its manuscript days. Instead of stopping at the mid-way point in all the character’s stories he instead divided the characters in the book in half. The result is A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons take place largely at the same time. This was a bold choice met with mixed reviews by Martin’s rabid fan base.

A Game of Thrones is not only the title of the first book in the series and the title of the massively successful HBO show but a reference used by several of the series main characters to describe the political games of treachery and deceit that is constantly running through Westeros. Fans of the show who haven’t read the novels can still appreciate Jamie Lannister’s sentiment found on this Feast on Kings Shirt.

Jaime Lannister is reflecting on the aftermath of a massive battle and realizes that the crows don’t care about man’s position in life. Peasants and Kings all die and rot the same. When he thinks about the crows feasting on Rhaegar Targaryen, the “mad king,” Jaime killed to earn his nickname of Kingslayer he remarks “How much can a crown be worth, when a crow can dine upon a king?”

The Feast on Kings Shirt is 100% cotton. The design is done in pressed vinyl that would survive a journey from Dorne to The Wall.
